When you first register to use Optily, you are taken through a Setup Checklist where you are prompted to connect up to 5 ad accounts from Facebook and Google Ads for optimization. You can later modify these selections under Account Settings.

Step 1 is to select the currency of your ad accounts.

Step 2 of the Onboarding process lets you connect the Google Ads ad accounts that are in the same currency as the previously selected Google Analytics view. Click the Sign in with Google button and you will be prompted to enter your login details.

Once done, you will be asked to allow Optily access to:

  • Manage your AdWords campaigns

Click Allow.

You will then be shown the list of Google Ads accounts you have access to. Select the accounts then click Continue. You are allowed to select up to 5 (including Facebook ad accounts). If you wish to only optimize for Facebook campaigns, you can skip connecting to the Google Ads account.

Step 3 of the Onboarding process lets you connect your Facebook ad accounts that are in the same currency as the selected Google Analytics view. Click the Connect button, you will be prompted to enter your Facebook login details or continue as the user you are already logged into the browser as. Once done, you will be asked for the pages you want to use with Optily:

Then you will be asked to confirm the permissions Optily needs in order to perform:

  • Manage your ads

  • Access your Facebook ads and related stats

  • Show a list of the Pages you manage

  • Read content posted on the Page

  • Manage accounts, settings, and webhooks for a Page

  • Read user content on your Page

  • Create and manage ads for your Page

Once you click Done, you will then be shown the list of Facebook ad accounts you have access to on the Optily onboarding flow. Select the accounts you want to optimize with Optily then click Continue. You are allowed to select up to 5 (including Google Ads ad accounts). If you wish to only optimize for Google campaigns, you can skip connecting to the Facebook ad account.

Finishing this step allows you to move on to the next step of OptiGroup creation.
