Optily uses a Google user account (personal or work) to connect with your Google Ads and a manager account won't work. So, this means that if you have a manager account (aka MCC) that you use to access Google Ads, you will need to give access to a Google account too and use that account to sign into Optily. But if you only have a manager account, don't worry, it's very simple to give access to a Google account by just following the steps below:

Adding an Additional User to Your Account

Google makes it very easy to add an additional user to your Google Ads account. All you have to do is log into your account, click the Settings and Billing (cog icon) in the top bar, and then click Access and security under the Account sub-menu.

From there, you’ll be taken to the user management page, which looks like this:

Now you can see and manage all of the users who have access to your Google Ads account. To add a new user, click on the blue “+” button. This pulls up the following screen:

The access you want to grant is up to you, but for Optily's purposes, we recommend granting the user “Standard” Access (you can revoke this later if you need to).

Once you choose an access level and enter the appropriate email address, Google will send an email granting that person access to your account. All the recipient then has to do is click on the big blue Accept Invitation button and they're all set to go!
